BEWICK’S WREN
Bewick’s Wren with their brownish gray uppers, light gray lower and white stripe over the eyes, is one of the smaller birds. Their long tail is brown with black stripes and white spots on the edges. One of their more stand out characteristics is their long and slightly curved bill.
This medium sized wren was named after British engraver Thomas Bewick, who was a friend of the bird artist John James Audubon. They usually build their nests in cavities of trees, rock crevices or on ledges.
