CANYON WREN
That orange flash that seems to have no issue climbing up, down and around rocks is probably a Canyon Wren. It nests and feeds in the narrow cracks and crevices of the rocks we have all over the canyon.
This medium sized wren has a very distinctive and beautiful song. You won’t see them around much, but you’ll wish they came around more often when you hear them sing.
An interesting item of note is that the Canyon Wren does not seem to drink water. It seems to get all the water it needs from the insects they eat. Cool, huh?
