PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER

This small pale yellow flycatcher can be found in Pacific Coast states but doesn’t seem to be common here in Bell Canyon. These spring and summer visitors tend to favor shaded forests and wet stream beds so your best bet for seeing one is down along Bell Creek.

Like their name implies, these little birds have a diet heavy in flying insects and you’ll most likely notice them flying from their perch to pluck flying insects out of the air.
