PINE SISKIN
While they are patterned like a sparrow the small Pine Siskin is actually a finch. They brown-streaked with a pointed bill and a notched tail. Their wings and tails can have a subtle yellow edging but it’s often hard to see. You’ll find the Pine Siskin frequently feeding along side of the Lesser Goldfinch as they are both partial to thistles.
